Overview
Similar part numbers and look-alike boxes cause wrong picks. Picture picking helps you avoid them. For each pick line, your picker sees a product photo on the scanner, next to the location and quantity. They confirm what they see, then scan. New staff learn the range faster because the screen shows them what to look for. The result is fewer mistakes, less rework and a calmer pick floor. It is built into Raptool WMS.
The photo answers the question
A code and a bin number tell your picker where to go. They do not tell them what the item looks like. With picture picking, the photo is right there on the scanner for every pick line. If the item on the shelf does not match the picture, your picker knows at once. They stop before the wrong product goes into the box.

Fewer wrong picks
Wrong picks cost you twice. You pay for the return and for the second delivery. Look-alike products make it worse, especially when part numbers differ by one digit. A photo adds a second check on top of the scan. It catches the slips that scanning alone can miss, and it helps tired eyes late in a shift.
Faster onboarding of new staff
A new picker does not know your range yet. Without help, they ask colleagues or guess. With picture picking, the scanner shows them each product as they go. They learn your assortment by working, not by memorising lists. That means new and temporary staff can start picking sooner and with more confidence.
Part of the full pick flow
Picture picking sits inside the wider Raptool WMS flow. That covers receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping, across multiple warehouses and bins. Raptool Client runs natively on Android, iOS, Windows and Mac, and works online and offline. It works with scanners from Zebra, Honeywell, Datalogic and Newland. Your orders can come from your ERP, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Fortnox or Visma.
